Oh Crab!

Today it's my first turn on the Cards und More blog, and I hope you like what I prepared for you!

My vacation is over, but I'm still in maritime mood, so I used the Under the Sea set by Jane's Doodles for my card today. I wanted the sand and the rocks to look more realistic, so I colored my modeling paste with Ranger Distress inks and some water.
I prepared a panel for the sand and one for the rock with the colored modeling paste and die-cut the ocean ground and tore the rocks. Then I prepared the background panel with blue Ranger Distress inks and spritzed it with some water to create bubbles. I stamped and colored the fish, crab and shell and stamped the sentiments on some leftovers from my background panel. Then I created a slider for my crab to hide behind the rock and fixed the sentiment strip on the backside of the slider element so that you can pull it out to the left and the crab appears. I decorated my card with all the fish and other elements - finished!

Here you can see some details of the sand and rock structure created with the colored modeling paste:

Don't you just love the colorful and fun characters?

Thank you for reading! Have a great day, y'all - perhaps somewhere on the beach?

Materials I used:
Ranger Mini Distress Ink - Salty Ocean Distress Ink™ Stempelkissen Antique Linen Prima Marketing Inc. - art basics - PM961350 - Modeling Paste (16 oz) Jane's Doodles - Clear Stamps - UNDER THE SEA

Cards und More Challenge - Anything goes With Summer

Today starts a new challenge at Cards und More!

As my DT inspiration card for this challenge, I created a card with the awesome Stay Cool set by Waffle Flower. I love this set, especially the big bear in the swimming trunks!

For the front of the card, I created a slider to make the bear with its diving goggles plunge into the water.

Can you see the gloss on the diving goggles? I added some Glossy accents to achieve this look.

For the inside of the card, I created a beach scene with all the other images of the Stay Cool stamp set. I had so much fun coloring them!
I put the little bird with his swimming ring onto an action wobble to give the impression as if it was rocking on the waves.

I hope you like the card and take part in the challenge!

Materials I used:

Waffle Flower Stamp Set - Stay Cool  My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Snow Drifts (MFT-546) Distress Ink™ Stempelkissen Tumbled Glass  Ranger Mini Distress Ink - Salty Ocean Ranger Mini Distress Ink - Tea Dye Distress Ink™ Stempelkissen Spiced Marmalade Ranger Mini Distress Ink - Squeezed Lemonade Ranger Mini Distress Ink - Mustard Seed
Additional: Lawn Fawn - custom craft dies "Spring Showers". My Favorite Things Dienamics "Malking Waves"/"Stitches Whimsical Waves"/"Stitched Snow Drifts". Copic Markers.

Who let the cats out?

Friends of mine are vets, and they send birthday cards to their four-legged patients. So I create a whole bunch of cards for them once in a while. So look at all the meowing and barking on my desk!
For a closer look:

I used my copic markers for coloring. I love the following color combinations for coloring cats and dogs:
  • C1 - C3 - C5 - C7 (for the cats with the more cool gray tones)
  • W0 - W1 - W2 - W3 - W5 - W7 (that's for the cats with those slightly brownish gray tones)
  • E51 - E53 - E33 - E35 - E57 - E27 - E79 (for the dogs and the red-brown cats)
  • R20 is the pink I used for the ears and noses
Now look at some of the finished cards:

The sentiments I used are from Stempelkueche, Klartextstempel and Create a Smile Stamps. The fish and paws background is an Echo Park stamp, and the background with all the dogs and bones and paws is a Whipper Snapper Designs stamp.

Wedding Shaker Card

I created a very clean and simple shaker card for the new cards und more challenge which is all about wedding cards.
Here you can see some details.

Meow's it going?

Meow's it going?

It's been a long long time since my last post, but finally I decided to revive my blog.
Usually I'm more a dog person, but I just couldn't resist these three cuties.
